Every year, I look forward to visiting the Notre Dame Christmas market. It’s the intimate atmosphere, the warm lights, and the unique location in the heart of Paris that bring me back to this special spot time and time again. Nestled at the foot of Notre Dame, in the hustle and bustle of the city, it feels like a hidden oasis where you can truly immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit.
Located in the charming Square René Viviani, right next to the iconic Notre Dame, this Christmas market offers the perfect mix of coziness, artisanal stalls, and intimacy.

Square René Viviani-Montebelloit self is a hidden gem in the city. This small urban park on the left bank of the Seine is famous for housing the oldest tree in Paris, a Robinia planted in 1601. The park is named after René Viviani, a prominent French politician and the first Minister of Labor in France. In addition to its botanical and historical significance, the square has strong ties to the literary and cultural history of the city. It’s located next to the famous Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre Church, one of the oldest churches in Paris, and is close to the historic Shakespeare and Company bookstore.
